I am currently doing a project at uni on Slow Fashion and my research has lead me to London Designer Lu Flux who uses vintage, organic and salvaged fabrics to create her collections. The aim is to against the world of fast fashion that we live in today and produce new pieces out of the old, consuming less and producing less waste. 20th century icons

For one of my modules at uni (20th Century Fashion) I recently had to write an essay comparing two decades or eras within the 20th century. I chose to look at the differing eras following the two world wars and the fashion icons within those eras.
I particularly focused on Chanel for the 20s and Dior for the mid 40s to 50s. But also looked at other style icons.

Ok so I now have this new slight obsession with Miroslava Duma, ex editor of Harper's Bazaar Russia and now writes freelance for a variety of publications.
She is a well known face in the fashion industry but I only really found out about her recently.

Time to Ski

I spent the last week on holiday in America and during my time out there I tried my hand at some down hill skiing, and I must admit some people out on those slopes were looking pretty good! (My sister in particular was taken by a snowboarder in bright orange dungarees with black prints on them.)
